Hosted by Israel Export Institute and Yonaco Group, the 2012 Annual Conference for Business with Korea will take place this year in Israel for the 3rd time. The conference will cover the various business opportunities with the world’s 13th biggest economy.

Daegu Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone (DGFEZ)

DGFEZ is a Free Economic Zone located in the central part of South Korea, in Daegu Metropolitan City and its surrounding.

The  region is home for over 13% of the Korean manufacturers including global conglomerates as Samsung, LG, Hyundai and POSCO.

DGFEZ is looking to support Israeli companies wishing to expand their activities to Korea and the Far East. The support may include financial grants, tax reductions and exemptions, location support and assistance in engaging with a Korean partner.

DGFEZ will support building of manufacturing, logistics or R&D activities in Korea. Relevant industries include: High-End Manufacturing; Aerospace and DefencePharmaceutical; Medical Devices; Components; Green and water technologies; High tech and more.

L&S  Venture Capital is a Korean government accredited  VC firm. Currently manages 7 funds with over $120 million. The firm was selected by Korea’s Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE) as a member of the first group of  “Business Facilitators”.

The firm’s ownership is spread evenly among 8 top-tier Korean SMEs that supply to Korea’s multinationals in the IT, display, cleantech, communication and automotive industries.

The Second Annual Conference for Business with Korea

The Second Annual Conference for Business with Korea hosted by The Export Institute and YONACO Group, took place on December 5, 2011 at the Leonardo City Tower Hotel in Ramat-Gan. Over 300 leading executives, CEOs and entrepreneurs from various industries attended the conference, as well as several business delegations from Korea.The first day of the conference was dedicated to updates panel discussions and lectures.

On the second day of the conference, the conference gusts held over 60 business meetings with the members of the Korean delegations.

One of the direct outcomes from the conference was the investment of  the Korean VC L&S Venture Capital in Fulcrum SP.
